Smart Sketch

By using Smart Sketch to create a sketch, the coordinate system is favored to Tool Design. The following example illustrates the benefit of Smart Sketch.

SolidWorks Default right view. The orientation is not comfortable to the designer.

If the view is rotated to designer’s favor, the sketch relation is not conformed to screen orientation. Horizontal and Vertical becomes misleading.

Automatically, the bottom of the screen is X and the vertical edge of screen is Y.
