Interning at 3D Quicktools was an unexpected but pleasant experience. I learned more about the engineering industry in general and working with experienced application engineers taught me a lot. Their experiences and mentorship was valuable in understanding the various career paths engineers follow after graduations and was influential in my career decisions. I highly recommend undergraduates studying engineering, programming or marketing to definitely consider interning at 3DQuicktools. Additionally during the internship I learned some practical skills along the way. What you learn will depend on your duration and area of interest. During my placement, I learned how to use 3DQuicktool's very own home-made applications (3DQuickPress and 3DQuickForm) and as well learning how to operate their in-house CNC machine to manufacture products for their clients. Additionally I learned how to use Autodesk Fusion 360 and Inkscape along the way. All in all, interning at 3DQuicktools would be an invaluable experience to anyone interested in a career in engineering, computing or marketing.
