CAD AVSHMEIP, S.A. becomes the first Latin American 3DQuickPress® value-added distributor for Mexico

The manufacturing solution consulting company provides the best-in-class SolidWorks® Solution for the Mexican metal manufacturing industries

Monterrey, Mexico, Sept 28, 2005 – 3D QuickTools Limited, the developer of 3DQuickPress® for SolidWorks® today announced the alliance with CAD AVSHMEIP, S.A. to begin the sales and support business of 3DQuickPress® product lines in Mexico. This marks the entry of advanced 3D die design solution to the Latin American market.

3DQuickPress® was introduced to the US and European markets eighteen months ago. Over seventy world-class metal stampers have been using the system to develop their quality precision tooling. It enables tooling engineers in this traditional trade to use the power of 3D design. 3DQuickPress® helps die designer to reduce the design cycle from a couple of weeks to a couple of days. “We have been looking for a practical solutions for die design. With the success of SolidWorks® in the world-wide market and in Mexico, our customers started to extend the use of SolidWorks® to the downstream progressive die design processes. Manufacturers are satisfied with our solutions like SolidWorks®, and Mastercam®. The missing link is a good 3D die design solution within SolidWorks® environment. Most of our customers are still relying on 2D for the die design. They are not happy as they have to create a lot of repetitive work load from the 3D product design to the 2D die manufacturing drawings. With the innovation 3DQuickPress® brought to the industries, our customers can make use of the Production-Ready-Libraries technologies offered in 3DQuickPress® to achieve manufacturing design automation to production drawings inclusively. Mexico has grown to be a key global manufacturing centre. Our manufacturing success factors are our proximity to the United States, a high quality mechanical and manufacturing engineering infrastructure, and a good supply of competitive engineers, CAD AVSHMEIP, S.A. will help the local industries to improve their efficiency in the most critical manufacturing process, i.e. mould and die making. With this success, it secures the constant growth of the electronics, auto parts, fabricated metal, medical and health care product manufacturing in Mexico,” said Pedro Manuel Torres Ruiz, Managing Director of CAD AVSHMEIP, S.A.

CAD AVSHMEIP, S.A. is showing 3DQuickPress® at Booth 427 in METALFORM Mexico 2005 at the Cintermex in Monterrey September 28-30. Over 120 companies will exhibit their metal manufacturing products and services, a double of exhibitors from 2004. This is one of the most important trade show organized by Precision Metalforming Association in Latin America with over 3,000 attendants.
CAD AVSHMEIP, S.A. will start to promote 3DQuickPress to the Northern territories of Mexico which includes Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Saltillo, Chahuila, and Reynosa Tamaulipas. The second phase of product introduction will be in Guadalajara and Mexico D.F.
