Hong Kong, March 22, 2016 – 3D QuickTools Ltd. today announced the release of 3DQuickForm Version 3.3.0 to the international stamping market. With more Tooling Designers using SolidWorks products than ever, there has been a demand in the metal stamping industry to invest in sophisticated blank development software to simulate the complex metal forming process for die making. 3DQuickForm V3.3.0 enables Tooling Designers to apply blank holder force and drawbead boundary condition to produce a more realistic result from their CAE simulation.
3DQuickForm V3.3.0 has two major enhancements, the blank holder feature and the drawbead boundary condition. The blank holder feature enables the application of blank holder force onto the forming part. The drawbead boundary condition allows user to define a region with different material flow parameters within the blank holder region by using the drawbead restraining force. With these 2 new features, die designers can perform a more accurate prediction from their CAE simulation using the 3DQuickForm software. 3DQuickForm Version 3.3.0 is available immediately to all existing 3DQuickForm users with current subscription service. The new blank holder feature and drawbead boundary condition are only available in the 3DQuickForm Professional version.
